Hand – arm vibration

It refers to mechanical vibration that, when transferred to the hand-arm system in humans, poses a risk to the health and safety of workers and, in particular, causes vascular, bone, joint, nerve and muscle disorders.

harmful substance

They are substances that cause acute or chronic damage to human health or death when inhaled, taken orally, or absorbed through the skin.

Hazard Class

In terms of occupational health and safety, it is the hazard group in which the workplace is located, which is determined as less hazardous, hazardous and very hazardous, taking into account the characteristics of the work performed, the substances used or produced at every stage of the work, work equipment, working methods and forms, and other issues related to the working environment and conditions.

Hazardous substance for the environment

They are substances that present immediate or subsequent short- or long-term danger for one or more elements of the environment when they enter the environment.

High voltage (HV)

It is the voltage between phases whose effective value is above 1000 volts.

Highly flammable substance

They are liquid substances with a flash point lower than 0 °C and a boiling point lower than 35 °C, and gaseous substances that can burn in contact with air at room temperature and pressure.

Highly flammable substance

They are: 1) Substances that can heat up and consequently ignite upon contact with air at ambient temperature without the application of energy, 2) In solid state that can spontaneously combust in short-term contact with a fire source and continue to burn after the removal of the ignition source, 3) In liquid form with a flash point below 21 °C, 4) In contact with water or humid air, they emit dangerous amounts of very easily flammable gas.

hydrocarbons

Incomplete combustion of petroleum used in motor vehicles causes hydrocarbons such as ethylene (C2H4) and benzene (C6H6) to be released into the environment. When these hydrocarbons react with other chemicals in the air, they have harmful effects on the eyes and respiratory tract.
